Beverley Playhouse Change of use to Shops
You may have already received a newsletter from Beverley Arts Trust. We apologise for contacting you again, particularly if you have responded, but there is very little time left before the Planning Meeting on June 13th .
1. Up to now, 162 letters of objection have been lodged at County Hall which is a tremendous effort by all those who have written. The planning meeting is postponed until Monday June 13th so letters may still be sent up to Friday 10th but ideally ASAP.
PLEASE CAN EVERYONE PERSUADE AT LEAST 2 OR 3 OTHER PEOPLE TO SEND IN A LETTER. THIS WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE. If possible PLEASE COPY ALL LETTERS TO THE COUNCILLORS on the Planning Committee (names listed below), and the local press.
There are many valid points to be made against the change of use, and listed building consent, but if you are short of time, write about the one objection to each application which concerns you most. Most importantly, include the reference number – please write a separate letter for each application, to say that you object to each application, with reasons. The number of objector's opinions in the form of letters will strengthen our case.

2. Please also join us in a public show of support for making the Playhouse a multi-purpose Arts and Entertainment Centre on SATURDAY 11th JUNE between 9.30am and 2pm outside the Playhouse. Give what time you can. We will collect signatures and conduct some market research. ENCOURAGE AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE TO COME AND JOIN US! We will also be meeting outside County Hall before the Planning Meeting on MONDAY JUNE 13th at 1.15pm before the Planning Meeting, which starts at 2pm.
3. A Business Plan has been presented to Councillors by the Beverley Arts Trust and we are confident that WE HAVE A STRONG CHANCE OF SUCCESS, BUT NEED YOUR SUPPORT!
