Well, finally things are moving, the old Playhouse is going to be a Browns Department Store (Browns Store at York is quite upmarket - almost olde worlde, so should fit in with Beverley). Work has started even as I type this, and soon they will start digging to create a basement - this could be quite interesting archealogically, wonder what they might find?
The opening of the new store will no doubt affect the Saturday Market square & Ladygate area but how?
